§ 23.20.302. Protection of structure.

Add the following section:
302.6 Roof penetrations. For roof construction regulated by the IRC:

1.

No penetrations shall be located in required valley ice barrier.

2.

All roof penetrations, excluding attic ventilation, shall be located a minimum of six feet from valley centerline and four feet from the exterior wall line measured on a horizontal plane.

3.

All roof penetrations shall extend above the roof surface a minimum of 24 inches, except attic ventilation.
