§ 9.46.060. Securing of load.

  • A.

    No vehicle shall be driven or moved on any street unless its load or contents are so secured as to prevent any material from dropping, shifting, leaking, falling from any part of the vehicle, or otherwise escaping therefrom, except sand may be dropped for the purpose of securing traction, or water or other substance may be sprinkled on a roadway in cleaning or maintaining such roadway.

    B.

    No person may operate on any street any vehicle with any load unless the load and any covering thereon are securely fastened so as to prevent the covering or load from becoming loose, detached or in any manner a hazard to other users of the street.
