§ 9.32.030. Standing in freight curb loading zone.

  • A.

    No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within any area marked as a freight curb loading zone during the hours when the provisions applicable to such zones are in effect unless that vehicle is:

    1.

    Registered with the state transportation commission as a common carrier and bears its state transportation commission number by use of two and one-half-inch high letters properly affixed as required by state law; or

    2.

    Operated by a person registered with the state as a business in accordance with AS 43.70.020, and bears that business name by use of two and one-half-inch high letters conspicuously affixed to the outside of the vehicle on the right side.

    B.

    No person may stop, stand or park in any place marked as a freight curb loading zone except for the purpose of active loading and delivery or pickup and loading of materials, and in any event such stop shall not exceed 30 minutes, unless otherwise posted.

    C.

    The Anchorage Community Development Authority Parking Services Department may adopt regulations to administer this section, including regulations establishing and setting fees for permits.
