§ 9.10.060. Immediate notice of crash.

  • A.

    The driver of a vehicle involved in a crash resulting in injury to or death of any person or total damage to all property to an apparent extent of $500.00 or more shall immediately by the quickest means of communication give notice of such crash to the police department. The quickest means of communication shall include the closest available public telephone.

    B.

    Whenever the driver of a vehicle is physically incapable of giving an immediate notice of a crash as required in subsection A. of this section, and there was another occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash capable of doing so, such occupant shall make or cause to be given the notice not given by the driver.
