§ 7.70.020. Contracts for cultural and recreational services.

The assembly may authorize contracts with nonprofit entities to provide cultural and recreational services which comply with section 7.70.010 and with the following provisions:

A.

A nonprofit organization desiring funding from the municipality for the provision of cultural and recreational services shall first make application to the department of cultural and recreational services or the office of community affairs, as appropriate, on forms provided by the municipality.

B.

Applications must be submitted by July 1. The municipality shall advertise for cultural and recreational proposals once a week for two consecutive weeks prior to May 1.

C

The application will be reviewed by the appropriate advisory commission, which will make recommendations for approval or disapproval to the mayor and the assembly.
