§ 29.30.020. Filing requirements for all schools.

  • A.

    All schools with physical premises for student attendance within the municipality shall file emergency contact information with the Anchorage Police Department.

    1.

    The superintendent of schools shall file emergency contact information for public, alternative, and charter schools operating under authority or funding of the Anchorage School District.

    2.

    Each private school and each religious school, as defined in AS 14.45.200, shall file emergency contact information directly with the Anchorage Police Department.

    3.

    Each alternative and each charter school operating independently of Anchorage School District funding or authority shall file emergency contact information directly with the Anchorage Police Department.

    B.

    Emergency contact information for each school shall include the:

    1.

    Name of the school;

    2.

    Name of the person in charge of on-site operation;

    3.

    Telephone number to reach the on-site operator of the school in the case of emergency;

    4.

    Physical address for locating the school;

    5.

    Postal service mailing address;

    6.

    Electronic mail address and facsimile number, if any, used by the school; and

    7.

    The school's regular days and hours of operation.

    C.

    Emergency contact information shall be filed annually by October 1 of each year, and updated by the school on an as-needed basis to be current and accurate.
