§ 28.60.035. Early and absentee polling locations.

A.

Early and absentee voting locations. The following locations shall be open to early and absentee voting prior to election day for poll based regular and special elections:

1.

City Hall - 14 days prior to election day.

2.

Loussac Library - 14 days prior to election day.

3.

Chugiak Senior Center - 7 days prior to election day.

B.

Hours of operation for early and absentee locations prior to election day are subject to available staffing. Voters are encouraged to call the municipal clerk at 243-VOTE (8683) or go to http://www.muni.org/departments/assembly/clerk/elections/ for current information.

C.

Election day absentee voting locations. There is established for all areawide regular, special or runoff municipal elections, an absentee polling place at the Ted Stevens International Airport, a centrally located absentee polling place at the Loussac Library, and an absentee polling place at the University of Alaska, Anchorage campus at which eligible municipal voters may vote an absentee ballot during the same hours on election day as all other municipal polling places. The municipal clerk may add additional absentee voting locations for any election.

D.

This section does not apply to elections conducted by mail.
