§ 27.20.010. Membership.

A.

Unless otherwise provided by the ordinance establishing a board of supervisors for a service area, the board for the service area shall be composed of three members residing within the service area appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the assembly and having the powers and duties provided in this chapter.

B.

Members, whether elected or appointed, are authorized to hold other compensated employment with the municipality or the Anchorage School District, provided that the contemporaneous municipal service and employment shall not adversely affect the employee's availability, productivity, or independence of judgment in performing municipal duties.

C.

An employee of the municipality or the Anchorage School District who also serves as a service area board member is subject to provisions of the code of ethics governing both a municipal employee and governing a member of the service board, whether appointed or elected.
