§ 21.85.160. Water supply facilities.

    If the platting authority requires that a subdivision be served by a public water system, the subdivider shall install the system in accordance with the requirements of the state department of environmental conservation and the 1985 edition of the Design Criteria for Sanitary Sewer and Water Improvements of the municipal water and wastewater utility.

    B.

    If the subdivision has no access to a public water system, the platting authority may require the subdivider to install a water system for the common use of the lots in the subdivision. The subdivider shall install the system in accordance with the requirements of the state department of environmental conservation and the specifications of the municipal water and wastewater utility.

    C.

    If the subdivision has no access to a public water system, and the platting authority finds that a water system for the common use of lots in the subdivision is not feasible and desirable, the subdivider need not install water supply facilities. A well serving an individual lot shall conform to the requirements of the Anchorage Health Department.
