§ 15.20.110. Inspections; right of entry.

    Subject to subsection B of this section, the director may at any reasonable time and upon presentation of proper identification, enter upon and inspect any land, building or premises where reasonable cause exists that there has been or is a violation of this chapter, or enter upon such land, building or premises to perform a duty of the director under this chapter.

    B.

    Where federal or state law so requires, the director shall obtain an administrative search warrant authorizing an inspection and exhibit the warrant to the owner, agent or occupant of the premises before conducting the inspection. The director shall apply to the State of Alaska trial courts to obtain an inspection warrant, stating the name and address of the premises to be inspected, the authority to conduct the inspection, the nature and extent of the inspection and the facts and circumstances justifying the inspection. Warrants issued under this section shall be returned within ten (10) days.
