§ 11.50.001. Definitions.

  • In addition to those definitions set forth at Anchorage Municipal Code 11.50.010 and incorporated by reference herein, the following definitions shall apply in these regulations:

    A.

    Dangerous cargo means any highly flammable, toxic or explosive material.

    B.

    Operator means any person, organization, corporation, entity, company, its agents, officers or employees using the petroleum dock at the Port of Alaska to transfer bulk petroleum to or from a vessel.

    C.

    Petroleum means any flammable or explosive bulk liquid.

    D.

    Petroleum dock means that portion of the port facility at the southern end of the municipal terminal which is used for the transfer of petroleum products between vessels and shore.

    E.

    Petroleum transfer means the movement of petroleum between a vessel and shore, a truck and vessel, or two vessels.
